IHC 2012 Website

The Institute for Human Continuity

Sounds interesting doesn't it? Sony has a new movie coming out that will feature the end of the world in 2012. So the movie has a made up institution called the IHC. This organization is said to have been around for 30 years in order to insure that humans will continue to survive after "the end of the world".  Yes, for those of you that are wondering, it is a hoax. Sorry to ruin it :(.

Ahhh, viral marketing at its finest. At the moment I am writing this, the website ( has almost 4,000,000 page views. That is pretty intense considering it just went up today.

When you go to the website, it looks very professional and most people are wondering if this is real, or just some hoax. It was well made and will certainly draw a ton of attention. Be sure to enter the survival lottery to insure your best chance of survival possible!

These people don't know what they are talking about. Nobody (not even the angels that are in heaven) knows when God is coming for his people. And that means nobody knows when the end is coming.

And nobody knows if God had anything to do with 2012.

Fundamentalists piss me off.

Angel lacks humility. It may be Angel's downfall.

Well, I'm sort of a fundamentalist, too, and agree with what the first guy said, but think the whole IHC thing is brilliant! Fabulous website...I registered! And, I've read the Mayan Prophecies and find them fascinating and see biblical parallels. Love physics and think String Theory is a great explanation for the existence of the Soul and yet still believe every word of the holy scriptures. For me, as a "fundamentalist" the goal is to live in the moment, living each day as if it is my last, and walking in the humility of knowing that Jesus is good, and this life He has given to me is a blessing, and I need to be a blessing to others and a good steward of the earth.

This is just like war of the world broadcast in the 60s many thought that the radio broadcast was real

shouldnt there be a law to prevent stoking public fear to increase profits for a movie. Have these people NO SHAME? Obviously they are commiting fraud since there will no one selected to survive an event that will not happen

Agreed, it matters not how many time can you read the same book or how you may misinterpret it, you still don't know anything. I like to read lots of books and still know I'm dumb. Religious faith makes as much sense to me as having faith in a talking pencil and believing its just antisocial. (I know you don't get it... find a new book stupid! Pencils don't talk) Have faith in real people, not Santa Clause.
